For Candidates with a Standard Instructional Certificate and 3-years full-time teaching or educational services employment
The M.A.E. in Instructional Design and Technology with a concentration in New Jersey Supervisor’s Certification prepares teachers, technology teachers, coaches, coordinators, and school library media specialists to meet the New Jersey State Department of Education 12-credit requirement for a supervisor’s certificate while deepening their knowledge and expertise of 21st century digital technologies. Leaders in education engage in the theory and practice of supervision and curriculum while improving and strengthening their ability to effectively model and facilitate technology enhanced educational and management experiences. This continuous learning deepens professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions in organizational change, leadership, project management, and professional practice.
Admissions Requirements
To be considered for admission, applicants are required to submit the following materials:
- Online application and application fee
- Official transcript(s) from all institutions attended
- Letters of recommendation (2) from academic and/or professional references
- Personal statement
- Resume/Curriculum vitae
Note: This program requires students to hold a current Instructional Certificate. Interested students without an Instructional Certificate are encouraged to pursue the College's Certificates of Eligibility with Advanced Standing options (Elementary or Secondary), or the M.A.E. in Elementary Teaching program.
