The Office of International Programs (OIP) serves the Seton Hall community in three primary areas.

  1. Education Abroad
The Study Abroad Team in OIP coordinates the study abroad process for Seton Hall students. Students are encouraged to make study abroad part of their college experience by participating in faculty-led programs, exchange agreements or opportunities through third-party providers. Opportunities abroad can range from one week to a year and to countries such as Spain, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, England and Mexico. The OIP is a central information point, providing pre-departure orientation and guidelines for safe travel. The OIP also advises the Seton Hall International Programs (SHIP) student organization.
  2. International Student and Scholar Services
The Office of International Programs assists international students and visiting scholars who wish to study or do research at Seton Hall. This includes issuing the initial documentation required to obtain a student visa or an exchange visitor visa, as well as providing immigration counseling to all international students and scholars regarding maintaining visa status, employment, traveling, changing status, etc. The OIP also provides assistance and guidance to the International Student Association (ISA).
  3. Cross-cultural awareness & events The Office of International Programs (OIP) promotes cross-cultural awareness and meaningful connections between international and domestic students through engaging social and cultural events, along with campus partners. OIP supports the integration of international students into the Seton Hall community while enhancing global understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures across campus.
