A German minor provides students with direct language instruction in addition to advanced courses in German civilization and other special topics. Minors in German are particularly relevant to careers in engineering, business, language and cultural teaching and training, international relations, diplomacy, translation and interpretation, international marketing and public relations, correspondence and journalism, and hospitality.
Students are required to take an online placement test through the Global Learning Center in order to register for classes in any language(s) that they have previously studied.
