The College of Arts and Sciences is excited to announce the launch of a 3+3 combined BA/JD Program in collaboration with Seton Hall Law School. This innovative program allows students to complete their undergraduate and law degrees in six years instead of the traditional seven years. Students will complete their undergraduate coursework in approximately three years and then proceed to law school, receiving their bachelor’s degree after the first year of law school. The program includes various disciplines such as Anthropology, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religious Studies, Spanish, Social Work, and Sociology. Other BA program students can also participate by consulting with their academic advisors.
Admission Requirements
Freshman Admission:
Junior Year Admission:
Upon acceptance, students will transition to law school in their fourth year, where they will complete the first-year law curriculum of 30 credits. After this fourth year, students will be awarded their BA and then complete the remaining two years of law school to obtain their JD.
For more information on how to tailor your course of study to meet the 3+3 program requirements, please consult with your academic advisor or the respective department chair.
Students in other BA programs should consult with their academic advisor, program director, or department chair to plan a course of study that satisfies the requirements for the 3+3 program. Unless formally noted otherwise, students are expected to fulfill all requirements for their respective major and the A&S core.
