Responding to the visual world in which we live, the Art History minor allows students to acquire visual literacy and critical thinking skills that are essential for successful careers in the arts, museums, education, advertising, design, marketing, public relations, and law. The minor offers a 15-credit curriculum that trains students in the analysis and appreciation of art and visual culture through courses focusing on different historical periods, geographic areas, or thematic approaches while also covering a plethora of movements, styles, and media.
Curriculum Requirements
Students pursuing a minor in Art History must complete 15 credits in the discipline as articulated below and in consultation with an academic advisor.
