BUSI 1000  Freshman Business Seminar  (1 Credit)  

This one-credit, discussion-oriented course introduces students to various aspects of business (accounting, economics, finance, information technology, law, management, marketing, and analytics) and their interlinkages. We will accomplish this by studying a major multinational company and some business challenges and opportunities that it currently faces. To help students understand how they can best use their specific talents and interests in the field of business, the course will also discuss career opportunities within each discipline area. In the high technology area, students will understand industry-specific taxation issues and prepare tax return filings.
