Dear Students,

Welcome to the 2024-25 Academic Year at Seton Hall.
This catalogue reflects the University’s signature educational experience, which is rooted in the centuries-old Catholic intellectual tradition. This uniquely Catholic way of approaching knowledge has been honed by faith and strengthened by cultures from around the globe. It is the lens through which you will engage and contextualize all there is to know in your classes and labs.

As you review and select courses, please keep in mind that Seton Hall seeks to educate the whole person — mind, heart and spirit — within a holistic, harmonious system. Your years on campus are perhaps the last, best opportunity to explore questions of a deeper nature. Therefore, I urge you to choose classes that challenge your intellect, inspire your emotions and speak to your soul.

We are taught by our patroness, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, that life is not without its stumbles. In these moments, Mother Seton shows us that faith and the blessing of friends and family can give us the courage to move forward. Please remember that your Seton Hall family is always here for you, and will do our utmost to help you whenever and however we can.

You remain in my prayers that this year will be exciting, rewarding and life-changing, and that you live in the truth that God loves you every day.
