From the Interim Provost and Executive Vice President

Dear Seton Hall Students,

I am pleased to welcome you to the University’s course catalogue for 2023-24.

This volume represents a vast academic palette that will enable you to paint vibrant intellectual colors on your Seton Hall canvas. While your specific degree program provides parameters to help focus your studies, you retain wide latitude to choose courses that engage your intellect, satisfy your curiosity, nourish your spirit, and prepare you for a fulfilling life.

These courses also comprise a snapshot of Seton Hall at this moment in time. Since 1856, the University has tailored its academic offerings to ensure students are well-prepared for life after graduation. It is a continual process of renewal that has advanced Seton Hall among the ranks of America’s foremost Catholic colleges.  Even in the relatively few years you will spend here, the University will adapt and change to take advantage of emerging opportunities. The result will be a singular educational experience that prepares you to take your places as tomorrow’s leaders — individuals who engage critically with society’s most-pressing issues and act responsibly to serve the human family.

Our faculty, staff, and administrators stand ready to help you. Seton Hall University is known for its first-rate student advising, so I encourage you to review your course choices with individuals on campus who want nothing more than to see you succeed. We are all invested in your success because you are the future of our nation and the world. You have my best wishes for a rewarding year at Seton Hall.

Sincerely,

Erik Lillquist, J.D.
Interim Provost and Executive Vice President
