Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a process used by companies to ensure that the chain of activities starting with acquisition of raw materials and ending with the delivery of goods to the customer and after-sales service are all well integrated and carried out effectively and efficiently. Supply Chain Management integrates supply and demand management functions within and across companies. With increasing globalization of business over the past few decades, supply chains have increased in prominence within most companies. There is now a growing need for people who understand and can effectively manage large supply chains.
