The public relations minor is grounded in the integration of theory and practice to provide an understanding of the role of public relations in contemporary digital society. Using an interdisciplinary approach, students learn how to develop public relations materials across industries. Some areas of focus include principles of public relations, public relations theories, international public relations, integrated communications, communication research methods, public relations campaign planning among others. By completing a minor in public relations, students studying communication, journalism, marketing or other majors will learn how to successfully communicate with global and multicultural publics.
